1. Who we are

Bid My Work ("Bid My Work", "we", "us") is a local services marketplace operated by [LEGAL COMPANY NAME] Private Limited, [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [CITY], [STATE] [PIN], India. Customers post jobs, service professionals ("pros") send price bids, and customers choose who to hire.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Bid My Work mobile apps for Android and iOS, the website at www.bidmywork.ai, and any related services (together, the "Services"). For personal data processed under this policy, we are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace. Depending on how you use the Services, this includes:

We do not knowingly collect sensitive data we don't need. Please don't include health, financial or other sensitive details in job descriptions, photos or chats.

3. App permissions

Our apps ask for device permissions only when you use a feature that needs them. You can refuse or change them any time in your phone settings.

4. How we use your data

• Run the marketplace: create your account, publish jobs, deliver bids, enable chat, and manage hires.
• Match and recommend: show your job to relevant pros nearby, and show customers relevant bids and pros.
• AI features: turn text, photos and voice into a clear job brief, suggest a category, add safety tips, and explain which bid looks like the best value. AI suggestions are for guidance; you always make the final choice.
• Payments: collect payments, hold them until a job is confirmed, pay pros, issue refunds and keep invoices.
• Trust and safety: verify pros, prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and resolve disputes.
• Support and communication: answer your questions and send service messages (for example, "You have a new bid").
• Improve the Services: fix bugs and understand how features are used, using analytics only where you allow it on the website.
• Marketing: send offers only if you opt in. You can opt out any time.
• Legal duties: keep tax and transaction records and respond to lawful requests.

5. Consent and legal basis

We process your personal data based on your consent, which you give when you create an account, allow an app permission, or accept cookies on our website, and for legitimate uses allowed by the DPDP Act, such as complying with the law or responding to emergencies.

You can withdraw consent at any time in the app settings, through Cookie settings on our website, or by writing to privacy@bidmywork.ai. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before, but some Services may stop working without the data they need.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:

• Between customers and pros: pros who can bid see your job details, photos and area (not your exact address). After you hire a pro, they see the address and contact details needed to do the job. Customers see a pro's public profile, bids and reviews.
• Service providers who work for us under contract: cloud hosting, payment processing, SMS / email / push notification delivery, identity verification, customer support tools, speech-to-text and AI processing, and analytics.
• Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of users and the public.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger or acquisition, under the same protections.

Some service providers may process data outside India. When they do, we use providers with appropriate safeguards and follow any transfer restrictions set by the Government of India.

We use reasonable security safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption of stored data where appropriate, access controls, and regular reviews. Your phone number is hidden from pros until you hire one. No system is completely secure; if a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

Under the DPDP Act and other applicable laws you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• Correct, complete or update your data;
• Erase your data and delete your account (see below);
• Withdraw consent at any time;
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.

To use any right, write to privacy@bidmywork.ai from the email or phone linked to your account. We may need to confirm your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Deleting your account

We delete your account and personal data within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires (for example, invoices) or what is needed for an open payment, dispute or legal claim. Reviews you wrote may stay visible without your name.

The Services are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website uses essential cookies to work and to remember your choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you allow them in the cookie popup. You can change your choice any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services or the law change. We will show the new date at the top of this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email and ask for your consent again where needed.
