1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and N-Visionsoft Private Limited ("Bid My Work", "we") for use of the Bid My Work apps, website and related services in Ireland (the "Platform"). By creating an account, or by ticking "I agree" on our website, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What Bid My Work does

Bid My Work is an online marketplace. It lets customers post jobs and lets independent service professionals ("pros") bid on them. The service contract for the job is between the customer and the pro. Bid My Work is not a party to that contract and does not itself provide the services.

We verify pros as described on the Platform (for example, ID checks), but we do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any job, and we do not employ pros. Each pro's profile shows whether they are registered with us as a business (trader) or as a private individual. EU consumer protection rights apply only to contracts with traders.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person or business per account.
  • Keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Pros must hold any licences, registrations and insurance their trade requires and must keep them valid.

4. Posting a job (customers)

  • Describe the job honestly, including photos, location and timing, so pros can bid accurately.
  • Posting a job and receiving bids is free. You are not obliged to accept any bid.
  • Do not post illegal, dangerous or misleading jobs, or jobs that are only meant to collect pros' contact details.
  • You may close a job at any time before accepting a bid.

5. Bidding (pros)

  • A bid is an offer to do the job described. It must state whether it is a fixed price or an estimate range, what is included, and the earliest start date.
  • A fixed-price bid, once accepted, is binding unless the customer changes the job scope.
  • An estimate becomes a final price only after the pro confirms it and the customer approves it in the app.
  • You may edit or withdraw a bid until the customer accepts it.
  • Each job accepts up to [N] bids.
  • Bidding is free. When your bid is accepted and the job is completed, we charge a platform fee of [X]% of the job value, deducted from your payout. Current fees are always shown in the app before you bid.

6. How bids are ranked

Bids are shown in the order you choose: price, rating, earliest start date, or "Best value". "Best value" combines the price, what the bid includes, the pro's rating and number of completed jobs, and the start date. Pros cannot pay to rank higher. Our assistant's "Our pick" label is a suggestion based on the same factors.

7. Payments and secure hold

  • When a customer accepts a bid, they pay the bid amount through the Platform using our payment partner. Prices are in EUR.
  • We hold the payment until the customer confirms the job is complete. If the customer does not respond within [N] days of the pro marking the job complete, and no dispute is raised, the payment is released to the pro.
  • Pros receive the payment minus the platform fee in their registered bank account (IBAN).
  • Extra work agreed during the job must be added in the app so it is covered by the same protection.
  • Paying or accepting payment outside the Platform for a job found on Bid My Work is not allowed and removes our payment protection.

8. Cancellations and refunds

  • Customer cancels before the pro starts: full refund, unless the pro has already visited or bought materials at your request, in which case those agreed costs may be paid to the pro.
  • Pro cancels or does not show up: full refund to the customer; repeated cancellations may lead to suspension of the pro.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5–7 working days after approval.

Your 14-day right to cancel: if you are a consumer and hire a pro who is a trader, you can cancel the contract within 14 days of accepting the bid without giving a reason, under the Consumer Rights Act 2022. If you ask the pro to start work within those 14 days, you pay for the work done up to when you cancel, and you lose the right to cancel once the job is fully completed. To cancel, use Cancel job in the app or email [email protected].

9. Disputes

If something goes wrong, raise a dispute in the app before confirming completion, with photos and details. Payment stays on hold while our team reviews both sides. We may release the payment, split it, or refund it. Our decision on held funds is final for the Platform, but it does not stop either party from using any legal rights they have against each other.

10. Reviews

Only customers and pros who completed a paid job together can review each other. Reviews must be honest and about the job. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, contain personal data, or are offered in exchange for payment or discounts.

11. Things you must not do

  • Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
  • Post false, misleading or illegal content, or infringe others' rights.
  • Share contact details to move a job off the Platform before hiring.
  • Create fake accounts, bids or reviews, or manipulate prices or ratings.
  • Scrape, copy, reverse-engineer or disrupt the Platform.

12. Reporting illegal content

Use the Report button on any job, bid, profile, review or message, or email [email protected], to tell us about content you believe is illegal or breaks these Terms. We review reports promptly and tell you what we decided and why, and how to challenge the decision. This email is also our single point of contact for users and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act.

13. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you upload. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and process it to run and promote the Platform. The Bid My Work name, logo, design and software belong to us and may not be used without our written permission.

14. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Bid My Work is not liable for the work done by pros, for any loss or damage arising from a job, or for indirect or consequential losses.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the platform fees we received for the job concerned, or €[AMOUNT], whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, put users at risk, or are inactive for a long time. You can close your account at any time — see Delete my account.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and other Irish and EU consumer law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the mandatory protections of that country's law and may bring proceedings in its courts.

17. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will show the new date on this page and, for important changes, ask you to accept them again. Questions: [email protected]. Complaints: [email protected]. Post: N-Visionsoft Private Limited, 14 Muileann Place, Kettles Lane, Kinsealy, Swords, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
